About Our Motorcycle Recovery Service
Motorcycles require specialist handling during recovery to prevent scratches, dents, and mechanical damage. Unlike cars, bikes cannot simply be towed behind a recovery vehicle. They need to be carefully loaded, properly secured, and transported upright on a suitable carrier. Our motorcycle recovery service is specifically designed to meet these requirements, using purpose-built equipment and operators who are passionate about motorcycles.
Our recovery vehicles are fitted with motorcycle-specific loading ramps, wheel chocks, and tie-down systems that hold your bike securely without putting pressure on fairings, exhausts, or other vulnerable components. We use soft straps and padding at all contact points to prevent cosmetic damage during transport. Whether your motorcycle is a lightweight 125cc learner bike or a fully loaded touring machine weighing over 400 kilograms, we have the right equipment to handle it.
Our operators understand motorcycles because many of them are riders themselves. They know how to balance a bike on a loading ramp, where to attach straps without causing damage, and how to handle different types of motorcycles from cruisers with low ground clearance to adventure bikes with tall suspension travel. We recover motorcycles from all locations including motorways, urban roads, off-road trails, and even private property. If your bike has been involved in an accident, we handle it with extra care, preserving evidence and documenting the condition before recovery. We also offer secure storage if you need somewhere safe to keep your motorcycle while repairs are arranged.

What Is Included
What's Involved in Motorcycle Recovery
Motorcycles cannot be towed behind another vehicle: without a rider balancing the machine, a bike towed on a sling or a bar will fall over and sustain serious damage. The only safe method for transporting a motorcycle is loaded upright on a dedicated carrier, secured at the wheel and frame using appropriate restraints. Our recovery vehicles carry purpose-built motorcycle equipment, loading ramps, front-wheel chocks, and frame straps with soft protective sleeves, as standard.
Common reasons a bike ends up needing recovery include fuel starvation from a vaporised fuel line or blocked injectors, electrical failures that kill the ignition, punctures (which can be particularly hazardous at motorway speeds), and chain or drive-belt failures. The operator will assess whether a roadside fix is practical: a flat battery, for instance, can often be jump-started using a dedicated lithium jump pack sized for motorcycle batteries, which have much lower cold-cranking amp requirements than car batteries. If the bike needs to go onto the carrier, the operator manages the loading ramp angle to suit the bike's ground clearance and suspension travel, and pads all contact points to protect fairings, exhausts, and painted panels.
Attaching tie-downs to a motorcycle requires knowing the bike. Standard clip-on handlebars are not a suitable anchor point; neither are aftermarket exhausts or carbon-fibre bodywork panels. Our operators are experienced motorcyclists and know the correct attachment points for cruisers, sports bikes, naked bikes, and adventure tourers. Electric motorcycles and scooters are transported on the carrier in the same way, with no wheels-down towing, protecting the motor and battery management system from regeneration damage. If you are carrying a passenger who also needs to get somewhere, they can travel in the cab while the bike is transported to your chosen destination.

What Our Customers Say
“Broke down at 11pm on the M25 near the Wisley interchange. Called these guys and they had a recovery truck with me in under 40 minutes. Professional, friendly, and the price was exactly what they quoted on the phone. Genuinely saved my night.”
“Ran out of diesel like an idiot between Luton and Milton Keynes on the M1. Pulled onto the hard shoulder near Junction 10 and called them. They delivered 10 litres of diesel within the hour and even checked my tyre pressures while they were there. No judgement, just helpful.”
“My van broke down fully loaded heading north on the M6 past Stoke. Other companies quoted ridiculous prices or said they could not do it until morning. These guys came out at 2am with a flatbed and sorted everything. Will not use anyone else.”
