Diesel engines handle fuel starvation differently from petrol engines, and that distinction matters when you run dry. On many modern common-rail diesels, air enters the high-pressure fuel lines the moment the tank is empty, and simply adding fuel to the tank will not be enough to get the engine running again, the system needs to be bled and primed before the high-pressure pump can build working pressure. Our emergency diesel delivery service is built around this reality: the technician brings both the fuel and the technical knowledge to restart a diesel that has run dry.

High-pressure common-rail systems operate at very high pressures, and air in those lines prevents the injectors from firing correctly. It can also, in some cases, allow the pump to run momentarily without lubrication if the operator attempts repeated cold cranks. Our technicians carry bleeding and priming tools suitable for the most common diesel platforms, along with a diagnostic reader to clear any fault codes that have been logged during the fuel starvation event. For vans and other vehicles that require AdBlue, we also carry that fluid, since an empty AdBlue tank will put the vehicle into limp mode or prevent it from starting at the next key cycle.

We deliver clean diesel in approved containers to any location, motorway hard shoulders, layby positions, forecourts, or private land. Standard deliveries are five to ten litres for passenger vehicles, sufficient to reach the nearest filling station; larger quantities are available for vans and commercial vehicles. The technician will run the engine for several minutes after the bleed procedure to verify fuelling is stable and no fault codes are active before confirming the vehicle is safe to drive. The service is available at any hour with no night or weekend surcharge, and priority is given to vehicles stopped on high-speed roads.
